Indian Express, Bangalore edition, today carried a piece of news from Ashok Kheny, managing director of NICE (Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise, working on the Bangalore-Mysore six lane highway). Seeing his attempts to complete the highway being stalled by the Govt and highly frustrated, he called Deve Gowda the Ravana, HD Kumaraswamy the Kumbakharana and his two brothers (Revanna and Balakrishna) Bakasuras.

Apparently, Deve Gowda found it below his dignity to respond to Kheny, to which Kheny responded that the question does not arise, as HDG does not have any dignity. Apt, I must admit - you also need to commend him for his balls.

Congratulations to India for having won the Twenty-20 World Cup, here’s a good piece by Dileep on Dhoni. Hmm, I wonder if any of this will be remembered in the coming two months when we play the Australians and Pakistanis.
